New Spring Shades from King Cole
Spring has been making the occasional appearance – though as we write this, it’s back to cold and rainy! Either way, it’s got us thinking about lighter projects and warmer-weather yarns, and we’ve got some lovely new arrivals to share this week.
King Cole Cottonsoft DK
If you’re planning your spring and summer knitting or crochet, King Cole Cottonsoft DK is yet another brilliant yarn in their already extensive range for warmer weather. Made from 100% cotton, it’s breathable and comfortable making it perfect for spring days and cooler summer evenings.
Three new shades have just landed, bringing the total range to an impressive forty-five colours to choose from.
We’re loving these patterns that are just perfect for summer!
-
King Cole Cottonsoft DK Crochet Pattern – 6488 Short Sleeve and Sleeveless Top
-
King Cole Cottonsoft DK Crochet Pattern – 6500 Short Sleeve and Sleeveless Top
-
King Cole Cottonsoft DK Pattern – 6472 Tank Tops and Waistcoat
King Cole Linendale Reflections DK
Another natural-fibre yarn that’s ideal for the warmer months is King Cole Linendale Reflections DK. It’s a blend of cotton, viscose, and linen that works beautifully for both knitting and crochet. It’s got a lovely, variegated effect that gives finished projects a gorgeous multi-coloured effect.
It’s now available in two new shades; Litton and Kildwick. The first is a neutral white and brown that pairs well with casual outfits and capsule wardrobes, whist the second is a bright orange and yellow yarn that screams sunshine and is sure to add a pop of colour to any outfit.
We love the following two ladies’ knitting patterns:
-
King Cole Linendale Reflections DK Pattern – 6483 Cardigan and Waistcoat
-
King Cole Linendale Reflections DK Pattern – 6129 Ladies Tops
Did you know? If you’d prefer a solid colour rather than a variegated effect, Linendale DK offers you the same comfortable, breathable blended yarn but in a range of vibrant solid colours rather than the variegated yarn effect.
King Cole Comfort DK
King Cole Comfort DK is a firm favourite as a go-to baby yarn for many knitters and crocheters. The range has just grown with two new shades; Mocha and Leaf, which are both rich and earthy tones that create a bold look that’s just wonderful on garments made for distinguished little gentlemen.
We love this children’s sweater and slipover pattern. It’s primarily aimed at young boys but would also look beautiful for a little girl.
New Book: My Granny Square Wardrobe
Granny squares are one of the simplest crochet techniques that most beginner crocheters can master quickly. When you first start to crochet, you may think that making and wearing your own garments is miles away, but this new book, My Granny Square Wardrobe, aims to bridge that gap so you’ll be making and wearing your own crochet clothes faster than you’d think.
It features 15 stunning clothing patterns to take your crochet skills far beyond just blankets and scarves and get you actually wearing your crochet pieces.
MadeByAnita Trellis Blanket – Now in Pink
One of MadeByAnita’s most popular recent patterns has been the Trellis Blanket, and now it’s available in a gorgeous Pink Edition. Whether you fancy pink, the original green, or maybe even both, you can now pick and choose whatever version you’d like. You can purchase both the Trellis Blanket pattern and the matching pink yarn pack. MadeByAnita has also created a free downloadable colour conversion chart.
